Future Plan
The Department of Public Health Engineering has several future plans to improve water supply and sanitation systems. Such as setting up a water source for every 50 people, proper use and conservation of surface water, installation of piped water supply system in every union of the country. Increasing the coverage of hygienic quality latrines and increasing the coverage of safe drinking water supply by one hundred percent.
* Adoption and implementation of water supply and sanitation activities in rural areas with the assistance of Union Parishad.

*  In Magura district, water supply and sanitation system infrastructure construction, development, expansion and technical assistance are provided with the help of municipalities in urban areas.

* Arranging safe water supply through arsenic-affected and other problematic areas through innovative new technologies.

* Exploration of safe groundwater and surface water sources.

* Provide technical assistance to local government bodies (Union Parishads and Municipalities) for development of skills in management and maintenance of water supply and sanitation systems.

* To provide emergency water supply and sanitation facilities in case of emergencies (floods, cyclones, etc.

* Provide technical advice, information, training and training to local governments, private entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations and Community Based Organizations (CBO) on the development of water supply and sanitation systems.

* To take necessary preventive measures to ensure safe drinking water and to implement Water Safety Plan (WSP) of water supply system in all areas of Khulna district in phases.
