The Department of Public Health Engineering under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has one Upazila Public Health Engineering Office in each upazila. Which is managed by Executive Engineer at District level and Supervising Engineer at Divisional level and Chief Engineer at Headquarters.
Activities:

The Upazila Public Health Engineering Office works in collaboration with the Union Parishad in rural areas and in the development of safe water supply and sanitation system by involving the municipality in the municipal area.
